Well I made it, took 10 hrs to make a 400 miles run though. No way the $50 makes up for that return on drive time, and that's not taking into account the additional headache of dealing with NYC drivers. I would rather pay $50 to not come back.
But...
It's my job so I do it.

Kinda felt sorry for this guy yesterday.
"Whoa," you exclaim. "Were you taking pictures while driving?"
Nope. I was taking pictures while completely stationary. At the time that picture was taken, I hadn't moved in about 2 minutes. At one point I actually put the truck in park, got up, and grabbed some lunch from the pantry. Traffic still hadn't started moving by the time I got back to the driver's seat.
Apparently there was an accident on the Cross Bronx Expressway, which I never actually saw. It is 9.3 miles from the Throg's Neck Bridge to the George Washington Bridge, and yesterday it took me almost 2.5 hours to traverse those 9.3 miles. That is about 3.7 mph for those of you playing at home.
Every time I start thinking to myself that maybe having every weekend off would be worth being a NE regional driver, something like that happens to remind me why I'm not and why I don't wanna.bigred81, runningman0661, Lonesome and 2 others Thank this. -
Finally leaving out tomorrow. Been home since Saturday. We had some medical issue to deal with with my wife at the University of Miami medical center. Not going into specifics, but we have to go this every 2 years. All I’ll say is the stress and anxiety is over for another 2 years. Thank God.

Their subway system can take you just about anywhere you’d need to go. -
The new ones we’re buying are Maxons. All aluminum, bigger, faster travel, and the hinges between the sections are underneath so they don’t get in the way when wrestling with 8’ pallets.Redtwin Thanks this. -
Glad all is well with the wife Johnboy.
JohnBoy Thanks this. -
I don't completely hate NYC, I would occasionally take day trips into Manhattan when I used to live on Long island, but that wasn't in a Condo tractor with a 53ft trailer and having moved away decades ago I don't miss thosevtrips at all.
