Yep ...got 2 good friends with long hoods that are much fancier than mine ...they get high 4s and low 5s and I get high 6s to mid 7s .
I'd rather have the money .

I was getting around 7 until my fan relay blew. Still getting mid six.

Be happy with what you're doing, and stay safe.

    Oxbow and bzinger Thank this.

Well, at the very least that isn’t the worst looking thing I’ve ever seen.

As for wheels, I think it depends. I wouldn’t put aluminum budds on anything with a steel hood, for example. Those look better with painted Daytons, IMHO.

    Understood.

In light of how closely I have to watch the other one, I just had to put that out there, though.

Yes, I was belligerent to that one guy, but he was frustrating all of us. He thought our current technology was close to 40 years behind their's. When several pointed it out, he wouldn't acknowledge it. I left there, and I expect that he'll keep posting, eventually to an empty room.

Being from the west coast where Dayton weren't common, I feel the opposite. Any truck with spoke wheels is one too many! But we all like what we grew up with, right? Out east they had curved stacks, we had mitre cut. You had spoke wheels, we had disc. Peterbilts, Kenworths and Freightliners dominated our roads, Whites, Brockways and Diamond REOs, with Macks being everywhere.

As they say, it's all good.

Personally I like Daytons on trailers and Alcoas on the trucks. Even Alcoas on the drives with Daytons on the steers looks pretty cool if done right.
