Everytime I switch to a new company,I always seem to wish I was back at my previous employer.
All companies suck to drive for.. only took me 3 years to figure it all out.

I guess it kind of helps to do some research before you go to work for another company. It's always worth talking to twenty or Thirty drivers that work for the same company to get an accurate feel for what's going on before filling out that job application. The CB radio makes it really easy to find out the information you're looking for every time you happen to spot one of those drivers going the other way

You hauled oversize for 37 years, and went to Schneider?
    What's wrong with this picture?

He also only made $22/hr doing oversize.

If he came into Schneider with 37 years experience, after two years he should be making a base rate of at least .46 CPM. We top out in the MW region at 47 cpm base and hmg miles, but with accessory and bonus I'm over 52 cpm to the hub.

    Thanks Chinatown, really...
I am not a condo guy in any stretch of the imagination, nor do I water any lawn, except with my urine, just saying.... I am happiest while living on a remote piece of land, back in the woods where I can hunt and grow my own food. Being far away from people as possible, except my family of course. Have a great day

I have a few requirements that most companies cannot meet.
    No touch freight.
    No reefer.
I won't drive the northeast, wouldnt pull freight there for $200k per year.
I also refuse to drive a freight shaker..the constant rattling drives me nuts.
    I need a 579 or 680 that does 68 mph..:dark1:

Okay, it was asked why I went to Schneider at 41 cents. The offered me 44.5 cents up front, but I would have to be OTR with lots of NorthEast. When you sit in heavy traffic for hours going 2 mph every day your pay really sucks. Driving in the Central 24 @ .41 at 60 mph all say made more sense. Besides, I've seen the Statue of Liberty hundreds of times already. I want to see the rest of America (and at 62 years old, I don't have much time left to do it).

Tried other commodity companies, but their equipment is old and stripped. Schneider has newer gear with automated trannies. Drive a 2017 KW t-680 with an 1,800 watt inverter, microwave and cooler. Other companies will make you drive a 2014 stick shift with no extras and go to NE every trip. NO THANKS!

$56,000/$.41 CPM is 136,585 yearly miles or 2,626 miles a week average. Realistically that should seam doable, but you can only do what miles they give you. And the fact is, these companies specialize in handing out unpaid work not paid work.

$22 an hour is not at all unreasonable for oversize around here. Pretty commonly advertised for running a RGN at that.

The $.41CPM is not surprising either. A lot of these megas do not and will not count any trucking experience outside running a dry van OTR or local when calculating starting pay. You could be running a dump truck, RGN, belly dump, asphalt tanker, or vacuum truck for years making Davis Bacon union wages of $52 an hour and these chumps at the mega will will want to start you at the bottom like $.35 cpm.

This has to be one of the dumbest post I’ve came across in a while. What was your goal when you came up with it just a back door slam of Schneider.
