Wassup everyone. Tonight I'm in Lexington SC. After my beer was unloaded yesterday, I was deadheaded over to Ellwood City PA. Tell you what, whoever gave me this load did a fantastic job with my available time. Opie's on vacation, I have no idea who dispatched me. But, they very clearly looked at my 70. I'm running on recaps and this load couldn't possibly have suited me any more perfectly. It's going to the Lowe's DC in Valdosta GA, and delivers any time tomorrow. Once I deliver, I'll only have 3 hours left. Just enough time to grab another load and get parked. The route I had to take is definitely not one of my favorites, but it's actually been really smooth so far. I am extremely light right now. My load is only about 8k pounds, so the mountains have been a pleasure. I love it when that happens. If this had been a heavy load, like beer or paper, I'd be in a very different position in regards to time. I'm definitely loving this load. So thank you very much, whoever gave it to me. I owe you a shot
This particular truck stop is a busy one, but somehow manages to be a quiet place to sleep. I love this place. I'm thrilled that it worked out so well to land here for the night. As a side note to any current Millis driver, make sure you are remembering your tails. I stopped earlier for a pee break, and there were three or four Millis trucks parked in the lot. Another Millis truck pulled in to scale, then parked. I didn't recognize the driver. But, he walked to the back of every single one of our trailers. I can only assume that he was checking tails. That's a new one on me. So, make sure your tails are out if your trailer has them. If he wasn't looking for that, then that just makes him creepy as hell. Whatever. I'm always conscious of my tails, so no skin off my nose. Apparently dude wasn't in a hurry. I'm looking forward to my drop tomorrow, because that place is always such a silky smooth experience. I have yet to have a bad stop there, unless they don't have any empties. But that isn't their fault, so no biggie if they don't. I hope y'all have a fantastic evening. I need to sign off. Time to break out my laptop and get some personal work taken care of. Be safe out there in Truckerland. Keep the rubber down, and check your pins. Peace guys.

As for the guy checking tails, I always close mine when parking/parked. He can run and tattle if it makes him feel like a big shot, truck parked, tails closed.FalconsFan21 and Steelersjunkie Thank this. -
FalconsFan21, MACK E-6, Lonesome and 1 other person Thank this.

Ya I feel the same way about terminals @Suspect Zero .....and absolute bs if drivers are snitching on other drivers. Then again, I fail to see how hard it is to pull 2 little cords when you pick up a trailer and deploy your tails, yet we have drivers who refuse to. With that said it blows my mind reading the accident reports and seeing drivers ram them thru dock doors....uhhh dont you have to idk...open your fn trailer doors before backing into a dock??? I dont get it
FalconsFan21, Waterboy334 and Steelersjunkie Thank this. -
