We aren't even papered for 80k# gross. Our registrations are for 74k#. 42k# in a long box is legal for our equipment and nearly the max you can fit in one for the mix of freight we haul.

Speaking of crest hill. The storage unit place in front of the 2 terminals has a nice apartment above it, almost rented it out.

I'll get right on that as soon as we're issued our OSHA-compliant scuba gear.

Had a few customers like that who had a dock that turned into a pond.

Everytime I back into one that is filled, I think about that time three years ago where I had a brake failure and used up two fire extinguishers (and a local fire department) to put out the flames.

Simple big puddle like that would have saved me alot of time

Those hubs are gonna be full of water I bet. I read an article about all the work Old Dominion had to do on trailers in Houston due to all the flooding above the axles.

When I started at Reddaway two city guys didn’t chock their tires forgot to lock their brakes. one I know got distracted leaving a shipper truck rolled into the ditch. Didn’t pop his brakes. Guy at CWF took a pic and sent it to one of our drivers he knew. Other guy truck slammed our fuel bay.

When I was at US Foods 7 years ago I got distracted by weather. It was winter into spring time 60’s during the day. So I was doing yard work I wore shorts and T-shirt and didn’t bring a sweater. Well it rained real hard non stop that night and was 40’s. When you hostle at US Foods the tractors stay together with trailers. So I was moving cold trucks all night. So I put a straight truck on door on a slight hill. They only have one air brake so it’s weird looking. Needless to say being cold I forgot to pop the brakes. Truck rolled slammed another truck. We’re supposed to chock the tires. If I did it would of saved me from embarrassment and a slight stain on my record. So even though it’s a hassle if you have a chock just throw it down on your drives if you don’t feel like walking to the trailer everytine.
