I like pb blaster. Yes almost any oil will provide a little lubrication but the thicker the oil the more dirt and nastier they are to work with.

I say it too much and people probably get sick of it and I even use it as one and it does give results but, wd40 is not a lube. I used to use WD-40 to put rubber hand grips on the handle bars of my dirt bike. Spray them good and slid em right on once it evaporated they'd be stuck pretty good.
