Looking into Tankers

    What would be the best companies to look at to begin pulling tanks, i have 1yr OTR flatbed experience but would like to start pulling tanks. Thanks for the info

    Indian River Transport. Sometimes their ad has "1 yr. driving experience required" and sometimes "2 yrs. driving experience required."
    Call and ask which is correct.

    @Chinatown will do and you have any info on Rodgers Cartage theu have a satellite terminal about 15 minutes from the house pay look's good on paper but not sure if they have the miles

    Rogers Cartage is probably ok. They're owned by Tankstar. If they haul hazmat it's probably ok. If it's just a cement terminal the pay won't be great.
    I worked for Schwerman which is also a division of Tankstar, and the Rogers terminals had a much better reputation than the Schwerman terminals.

    It is liquid Hazmat or that's what was advertised working in the endorsement now.

    Where I worked we had liquid and dry bulk hazmat. If that's a hazmat terminal, give it a try. Good chance to gain tanker experience.

    They're food grade and run long runs coast to coast.

    I think in the long run you would make more money doing chemical (hazmat) tanker. Lot of good companies will take you with 1 yr al long as your mvr and psp are ok. Where are you located?
