Carriers are getting stricter and stricter with the hiring process, their insurance makes the call who gets hired.Your ticket may be for normal speeding but companies will see that 19 mph over and that'll be a red flag even by the worst of the worst companies because your ticket is only a few months old.If you can wait a couple years I think that would be a wise choice.Otherwise find a company that'll hire you before attending school.Because if you go to school now with no job lined up all that money and time for your schooling may be a waste.

That's my worry, I don't want to waste time/money by not being able to find a job once I leave school. I do currently have a great job and I'm not in a immediate rush to change careers but it is a goal eventually. I just want to do it the correct way and if that means waiting a couple of years to go to school, well I guess so be it.

But that is a very interesting suggestion about getting "pre-hired" prior to attending school. I'm going to look into that some more..

Thank you very much for the advice!

How does it read on your mvr? You may be able to be honest to a point. Admit the ticket, be hazy about the speed.

It does list the speed I was driving unfortunately. It's right in plain sight for all employers to see. Thank you for the advice though! :)

Start applying, they'll let you know within that day. The recruiters will call you and tell you flat out. I've on the phone with 5 recruiters in the last 24 hrs for my prehire letter. Got one from Schneider, apply and they will call you within a couple hours.

When I got one for like 21mph I took a driving course online that can be done once every three years i think and it removed the points off my record. Although I'm not sure if it helped erase the ticket. This was 10 Yrs ago.
