Don't do the swaps. All you're doing is covering JCT and not looking out for your business.
YOU come 1st. If it's gonna hit the pocketbook, pass on it. You're out here to make money, not cover for sorry drivers.

I find it ironic that this 10-year old trailer and carrier reefer is quieter than our new carrier reefers....

No worries, business has been good. Swaps are generally to our advantage as a lot of the loads we pick up are solo trips that we need. to either drop or swap. The WCC loads to Florida are usually the only team loads we get. But we do say no to swaps if they aren’t beneficial to us. This recovery was a favor to Keith, this was a new driver who dropped truck and trlr in El Paso to have emergency surgery. We are making a nice chunk of change just moving that equipment 450 miles.

$903 later new brake shoes and drum. Apparently what happened was one of the springs on the lower shoe got bound up with the S cam causing it to keep that shoe in contact with the drum. They had a hell of a time getting that drum off. It really sucks because my shoes still had a lot of life left in them.
