I guess I'm posting this just to help others in case they are thinking of doing what I did this morning.

I was curious to see what would happen and didn't have my coffee yet and I did something I'm regretting now.

You all are probably asking yourselves, OMG, what did he do?

    Well I'll tell you.

I put my name, email and phone number into the job section.
    Yup, I did that!!

    Geez, I had no idea.
Now my email is flooded, my phone has been ringing off the hook.

I just want to tell em all to #### off and leave me alone, lol

I don't want to anyone think I'm bashing on the feature. It's actually pretty good.
I just don't think I was ready to get the bombardment.

If anyone decides to use it be cautious.

I like the other job feature with the filter better.

Change your phone number to ring into Swift's recruitment office and force them to deal with you via email.

But honestly, it's probably too late by now for such a change to be effective.

Beer mixed with boredom makes me do stuff like that! Good luck!

    Change everything over.

I had a phone destroyed once with a shady spammer. Changed the number and peace on earth is here. At least for me.

Use a disposible throwaway email. Or 50 of them. I use a dispostable service that deletes automatically after three days. If anything I am truly expecting it will be there.

We once did a little sweepstakes years ago in a walmart for a chance at 1000. (*YAH RIGHT>...) what we got instead was a box delivered by the PO when our PO box filled up took 6 months to clear that mess.

We quit using landlines when poltical robocalling came into our state back in 2007. I don't have one today. There is a little cell, I could care less if it has voice minutes or not. I use relay.

Get a prepaid phone and use that for job searching. Also set up a side email account thats not attached to your Facebook. Do not EVER contact or consider a company that recruits on social media.

I did that once with the same results, most popular that I've ever been, lol. Nonstop emails and phone calls the first 3 days especially. I still get emails from Heartland and it's been 2 plus years.

Well that's because whenever you submit your info into that section, it forwards it to all these companies.

That's like grabbing a match and saying #### that's hot. I wonder why. Duh.

Yeah, I didn’t use that. I sleep during the day, and I like sleeping. Lol. I’m doing one company at a time.

The lack of caffeine is the key here.
Any caffeine blooded, self respecting, truck driver, would never make a mistake like that. :)
The moral of the story is: Never try to think before your morning coffee. :geek:
