if you brokers would post more information it would save everybody time and pointless phone calls.
Example, I want to work through the weekend, not sit on load. .. phone calls for hours and hours just to find out appointment times/open hours that could have simply been posted with the load.
Why do brokers not post appointment times, wasting our time?

what's the reasoning? just so we call so you have an opportunity to try to convince us to haul your cheap freight?
-
Yeah the reasoning most brokers use is that they want to talk to as many people as possible. That's why certain brokerages whose names start with three letters will post the same load out of 5 different cities none of which are where it is actually picking up.
Personally I post everything on the load. I don't want to talk to you unless you want the load either.QuietStorm, spyder7723, HopeOverMope and 9 others Thank this. -
Only way to combat this is to post your truck in 10 different cities..
HopeOverMope, freightwipper and x1Heavy Thank this. -

I Did at times.........7 am to noon on Saturdays...
Problem is, Not Many Open on Weekends to accept Truckload stuff going to many businesses or Warehouses
I have a few Hardware stores or Lumber stores that receive Saturdays
The Brokers want you to work like them-Monday thru Friday Pick-ups and deliveries only-
You want weekend work? Gotta find it yourself
Wipper- Where do you Live- Find Businesses in your Area That can Give you Some Weekend Work or at Least Half day on Saturday. -
There is actually appointments? HA.
You will be told when they deem it necessary for you to know and not a minute before driver. Usually when the your late call comes in.
Weekends are a time to cross the USA for monday am deliveries.emeraldladdie Thanks this. -
I'm actually not a fan of this. I'd rather deal with interested parties from the jump. For me, simply posting the PU and DO locations with the basics of the load works pretty well. I always put dimensions and weight in. I gave up on checking the requirement boxes on ITS a while ago. The amount of people who would call on a team load without a team was staggering. I tend to put that info in the additional info box on ITS, and on DAT.Scott72, Ruthless and HalpinUout Thank this. -
If you post on the DAT boards as a regular load and not team, I might never see it. I wouldn't bother setting email alerts for non team as it would spam my inbox. The only reasons I can think of to stumble across that posting would be if the offer was abnormally high, or I was bored enough to rummage through all posts.
