Remember that one? Located on US 20 in Auburn, MA, next door to Worcester.

@x1Heavy probably used to hang around there. That place was wild. At night van loads of women wearing negligee would be dropped off in the parking lot.

It was nicknamed "The Dump". Even called that in their ads. The owner was a character, forget his name. Had a summer house with a pool he would take laid over truckers to,for cookouts and stuff. Was a wild place, used to be a good Chinese restaurant across the street.

    TruckerPip and bzinger Thank this.

Yes, and they advertised that place on the "all night trucker radio stations" and the radio hosts would chuckle because they knew what was going on there.

There were a couple of truckstops along US20 through there. Mass 10,Shrewsbury,and Sturbridge, and a real good diner west of Sturbridge that catered to truckers, best real New England fried clams I ever had. Funny the stuff you remember from 40+ years ago. We used to run 20 into Boston,to keep from paying the toll.

I ran 20 all the way to PA one time; across Finger Lakes. Never did that again! Couldn't afford the tolls. The company wouldn't pay tolls and told us to pay the tolls out of our pocket, then claim the tolls as a deduction on our income taxes; I wasn't that dumb.

That guy that owns Prime was involved in that company at the time. Don't know if he was part owner or what, but he worked there in some capacity.

Also up there in Mass back then, you couldn't drive a truck on Sundays, unless you had produce/perishables or a special permit, blue laws.
