Why at 13 are you worried about companies they might be out of business before you can drive

 

It is kind of up lifting to see a young man interested in something other than some of bs chat rooms that they have on line. You research til your heart is content.

If I remember from another post of his, his dad is a driver, and he has diesel in his blood already. We'll see him out here once he's old enough to drive a rig. I'd just about be willing to put money on that one.

Yes, things are going to change greatly by time this young one is able to get out there and hit the road too, but doing research now, gives him something to base future decisions on, and things to look out for.

I'd rather see the young man on here than doing some of the other stuff kids his age are into!

 

Living where he does,....One would think he would be fishing all the time,.....If I could find a decent job up there,....I would move in a heartbeat....

Exactly. That's exactly why I am on here. Ever since I was like 2 I have been riding in my dad's semi. Oh yea it's in my blood already. I can and have been driving my dads since I was 9 on old county roads, or in the woods, and I find it quite fun.

The real reason I am on here is to get some of my questions answered for the future, and to get a general idea on how things will work and who is the best to work for when I get old enough to go out of state.

 

Yea, I am more into hunting, driving fourwheelers more than I like fishing. I do like it up here but I am moving when I am 23

 

Ohh.. UsX just got burned on that one. I will cross them off my list for sure.

The three major companies i am interested in are Heartland Express, H.O. Wolding, and Halvor Lines.

 

IrishMike, I just tried to PM you but don't have enough posts. I just graduated from PIA Pittsburgh location. How are things going? Have you got a decent job? I saw recruiters from TMC and Werner this week and applied to both. Let me know how things are going. I really enjoyed my 4 week course at PIA and hope to be getting out on the road sooner than later.
