We have actually a policeman who very occasionally gives out a small reward for driving correct in our area. It's not all lost. If I was to try and exist in Maryland the Law" would be rather excessive. But here in the South things a little more free for lack of a better description. Even though sometimes Arkansas gets crucified for doing stupid things now and then because some there are so backwards still.

I rather not be recognized, Ive done my share of life saving now and then where possible in the time that existed. I remember a particularly bad day on the east end of the GWB near the caverns where a older lady had lost a tire on her car, traffic had gridlocked around her. One fella came out of his tractor having lost his temper and a tire thumper advancing on her. Well... needless to say we were able to defuse something that could have ended badly. Got her out of there and moving. When some of the parasites came down it was time to go.

Right. Swift can't even catch the drivers who bend and mangle tandem release handles.

Well they did spend a ton of money putting cameras all over the driver's lounges to catch candybar thieves.

Reminds me of a story from my youth...

I was dating the phone girl at the local bike shop, and a customer called in because they were having problems and needed the Honda customer service number. She didn't know, so she asked the guys at the parts counter who likewise didn't know off the top of their heads...but suggested "1-800-RIDE-RED" as a likely possibility. She relayed that number to the customer on the phone.

2 minutes later, he called back telling her to dial that number. Oops.
