Fbc, how do you get brokers to call you before they post on the board? I have worked with several and 1 multiple times but I've always had to find her loads on the board. Even if it's same commodity I just hauled for her. She says thanks for great service, etc....but then the very next day goes and post a load on the board in the same lane I just ran for her. Does it just take more time? Wouldn't she want to call me rather than chancing it on the board? I don't seem to be developing relationships like I had hoped. Thanks for your help

I think in my area it would work. I see many load that are up to 20' long and light weight that pay around $700 on 500 mile run. Not bad for a hotshot, you'd be making around $50 per hour. Not sure if that is worth it cause I don't know the expenses or cost of insurance for that kind of truck. But from looking at it this way it seems like a good job.

Another problem could be that she’s afraid to use the same carrier over and over again. In fear that the carrier and Shipper getting together and pushing her out. She may have been burned like that at one time?
I’ve had accounts with some of the same Shippers for 30 years now and I have worked with many of the same Brokers for that long, or longer. Everyone I work with knows that I won’t put up with any type of back solicitation. I don’t care who initiates it. I will not do business with people like that. The Brokers and Shippers I work with regularly, they feel the same way.Lite bug Thanks this. -
Ben, just my opinion but even with pulling s 20’ trailer that rate is to low.
