Too many truckers these days. How can it be a viable career?

There will always be work [that pays "decent'] for a CDL A driver with a good record. The work may suck given all the constant congestion, but it will be there if paying bills and having steady income is a priority.

That's why I enjoy my 48 state OTR refrigerated truckload job. No "ruts". Constant change of scenery. All the miles I can run. Mostly 1,500-3,000 mile runs allowing for a more casual style of driving. Plenty of quiet time across the less busy roads out north and west. Seeing small town USA at times when cutting through the woods.

But you're right about the truck count has increased exponentially the last 15-20 years. And in large part has reached a saturation point. But I don't know what to tell you. The work is there, but it can be hell. If I had a family, I would not see any future in OTR trucking

Too complicated to use. Simpler to use a computer to open and close the doors while creating a quick mega blast of warm or cold air as the door opens.

I spent pretty much a life time fighting a losing battle against Inflation, but found a Gem with McKesson in Memphis. You would think people will travel 3 million miles and for nothing. But we found something good which is why I speak about it often. Proper high dollar loads that are into people for helping them to heal hours after you have it off the trailer. Anyone can haul potato chips. But medicines makes life a little interesting.
