So when it comes to renewal or switching insurance carries, there is some risk involved that they would not update FMCSA in timely manner. Does anyone knows what to do to prevent this scenario when your current policy expires and you want to go with another insurance carrier? Does a new insurance need to update FMCSA file prior to the expiration of the current insurance that you don't want to renew?
Voluntarily suspended my MC and now treated like a new carrier.

I think the new agent would immediately do what they had to do because they had better know that it can't ever expire! It has to be constant.

Well it has officially cost me 2 loads...

Here's the thing...We (As in the blue collar worker/driver/etc).Look at the FMCSA/Insurance companies etc as a "Service" they are to provide us when they take our funds..
Unfortunately-They don't. They Look at it as "WE" are at Their Mercy If we want Authorities/Insurances/Registrations.......It's not Supposed to be that way.
They Should be thanking us for the Thousands of dollars per year of hard earned money that we send....
But, They KNOW You and I Need Them..So they feel they hold the cards
Remember when License Branches were Jagoffs in the 70's and 80's?- You Felt more like you were 'begging" for a drivers license at their mercy waiting for Hours on end just to get 1?
Now,Any Joke who passes a written within a 75% thresh Gets a license.
Same should be said If you suspend your authority for 7 months due to injury.
IT SHOULD NOT BE A STRESSFUL TIME FOR YOU TO START DRIVING AGAIN!!!!!!!!
Grant it back to you same day without Fees or Paperwork... But that'd be too easy right.Mattflat362 Thanks this. -

Oh man do I ever!? They were all (*^*&%#*@! -
Yet another carrier that views my voluntary suspension due to injury as me being "new".
Great system. -
It takes too much mental effort these days to evaluate why the suspension occurred and make exceptions to the rule that suspension always means something derogatory.Last edited: Dec 15, 2017
Mattflat362 Thanks this. -
I was lucky to miss that 30 day crap. I activated my authority 3 months prior to finishing my gig with another carrier. Not because I knew about this 30 day thing but because I thought he was going to fail his new entrant audit.
The question that I would ask is..... If nobody will use me because my authority is less than 30 days old and I am forced to remain at home, what magically changes?snowman_w900 and Mattflat362 Thank this. -
A couple of years ago I accidentally checked intrastate when I was updating my mcs150. I corrected it right away but it put me back in the new entrant program
