First or fifth it doesn't matter unless you drive for some company where pay depends on "experience". You can be a rookie and do better job than some drivers with years of "experience". I made similar money my first second and third year.

I worked for Swift my first year and a half. Did otr reefer with them first six months then dedicated accounts pulling a dry van the rest of the first year--grossed about $50k. Second year I got on a Target dedicated account, home every night, but it wasn't a very lucrative account and I still was set up to make only $48k that year. So I left lol.

New company, started a few months ago, set up to make about $68k this next year. I work about 55-60 hrs a week and I'm home every week, all no-touch freight. I might start trying to run harder so I can make more $$$ though. From what I've seen, most places it's not too hard to find a $70k a year job and there are lot of jobs that pay more than that. You just have to look and sometimes be willing to do more than just drive and drop and hook.
