    Yes there is!

    Slotted coils can come apart in a real in a hurry on today's roads, especially if the banding isn't at proper tension. So 'hog ties' are a critical part of the securement!

    I would much rather depend on my hog tie chains than some cheap banding. But I don't count my hog tis in with my aggregate WLL. Coils are still tied down like a single, just have an extra cabin and binder or two.
