If you are running under someone else's authority while waiting for your authority to become active you will most certainly pay twice for insurance. Where you are leased and your new authority.

    Rachav Thanks this.

    No you cannot.

The insurance company insures company A and files with t he fmcsa on your behalf. They are not also going to insure company B.

No. Not what I said. You either get you own numbers and insurance and be true O/O OR you lease to a carrier and run their insurance with their authority.
Your authority will be active in a month or less then you cancel the other insurance through the carrier. So technically you will be paying for insurance twice, but only for the amount of time it takes your authority to become active then you drop the carrier that you at leased to insurance

    Rachav Thanks this.

    NO!!!!!!

Their primary ins is for their OWN auth, that you get "permission" to use via leased-on agreememt.

The DOT/DMV issues irp plates tied to those numbers, and those plates belong to the lease holder carrier.

Your own auth will trigger your own primary insurance, which will allow dmv to issue irp tags to you (your auth)

    That's still not possible....:p:p

What you are ACTUALLY looking for is a cheaper option, not cheapest...;)

    And that is a UNICORN.

As a new entrant, you need to grab your ankles, and get lubed up...
