What do you recommend to stay alert and not drowsy for a full ten or eleven hours of driving? I find that im perfectly fine until about hour seven, at which point I begin to get quite drowsy. I think I need to improve my diet for one (more leafy greens, less sugar), but its very difficult to eat properly out here. Exercise is probably advisable as well. Are there any tricks or general recommendations that you might could share?

A nap

You'll get used to it and hopefully build up to driving more. Push yourself a bit more each time. You'll have to find what works for you. Good diet and exercise can help I guess. A nap like the other driver can help also. It's called a power nap. Sometimes 15 min nap can do wonders. Or just a quick walk or getting out of the truck for a few minutes. Open the window find something interesting to listen to on radio get snacks......

Maybe do a split sleeper berth @ drive hour 7 (insert 2hr nap), then hit the road for another 4 hrs (insert 8hr SB)
so:
- 7hr D + 4hr D = 11hr D
- 2hr SB + 8hr SB = 10hr SB

Try this. It will put some hair on your tongue.

Sleeping well is the key. I enjoy it. My bunk has a 4” memory foam in top of the stock mattress. I have techniques for falling asleep. Science and history podcasts. Figure out how to get maximum sleep and then you can stay awake 11 hours no problem.

if it's around hour 7, then take your break... Get out of the truck walk around the parking lot a couple of times. Or get a light snack. (heavy meal will make you feel more drowsy...) or take a nap... any way you look at it, you have to take a 30 minute mando anyway... So if it turns into an hour to revitalize you for the rest of the day, so be it...

Find a spot and get a good nap. Log it as such.
DO NOT try to push on through the sleepy. You will not be able to stay awake or be safe.
