I did 2 years in Houston with a 4 axle RGN or a 3 axle landoll. Not running over everything was a test. 1.1 million miles OTR has been the easy part!

All that work though, was unfair. And hard, well some of it was.
    So the OP is right.
But I'm still just shocked by all of this.

much more stop and go, backing, people cutting in front of you , shifting , only difference in my opinion is otr you have to have endurance to drive for long stretches and stay awake, just my experience

That rear window is about as useful as an ashtray on a motorcycle.

Especially in the winter, when it's covered with grime, road salt, etc. A blindside is a blindside.
But hey, he knows best. We local guys and gals will never compare to what he does.

    Um, no...

If you only had a clue... We don’t have time to drive in the middle lane “well under the speed limit”.

Well, I’m glad you’re here to tell us these things, oh Lord of the trucking industry. What other proclamations have you for us from atop your ivory tower?

You have a hell of a lot nerve spewing this bilge. Since you’ve decided to insult pretty much every daycab driver on our site, guess what?

We work for a living, “period”. What the hell do you do all day?

Sure you do, and you deliver to car dealers, schools, hotels, funeral parlors, and private residences? LTL guys have to do ALL of that.

Or do you bump docks all day long?

KillingTime, Dan.S, TankerP and 4 others Thank this.

Maybe for you, but I happen to find it very handy along with my “rookie” mirrors on the fenders as derisively referred to some of the pontificaters around here.

Dan.S, TankerP, nightgunner and 2 others Thank this.

Doesn't even do that much. Just hits one dock in the morning and drives several hundred miles on the nice interstate. He then goes to sleep and may actually hit a single dock tomorrow.

Now those of you hitting several docks, or like you said, no docks every day have my respect. I only do 2 a day (once each shipper and receiver)

    Dan.S and Lonesome Thank this.
