Do yourself a favor and look around a bit for job that pays better than 38 cpm. If you can pass our standards you can do much better than Walmart.

Mileage pay is lower than most people probably expect. But, when you add in the additional paid work duties its not hard to see the advantages of Walmart.

Yes it is. 38 cpm regardless of experience. 9 dollars to drop a trailer, 9 dollars to hook a trailer and 42 dollars a night to sleep in the truck. Heads up, the sleep pay is up for discussion in taking away in the future.

Puppuller 57 and HalpinUout Thank this.

Also forgot, 14 dollars an hour after the first 45 minutes of arriving to a stop. A lot of stores will average 1hr 30 minutes for grocery unloads, live unloads can be 1hr to 4hrs on average. Waiting at your home terminal after the holidays will be free time.

    Puppuller 57 Thanks this.

Wow, about 7 years ago I worked for the only "Mega" listed on my resume and they started at .36 back then. Well that explains why I see Wal-Mart trucks flying down the truck restricted lanes in Chicago all the time.

Puppuller 57 and BackIsSore Thank this.

Where I'm at these guys run the governor no matter what the posted limit is. The only real time they'll get in trouble is if they're called in on or the safety man catches them.

    HalpinUout Thanks this.

Quit misinforming people. You tell more stories than truth.
