Do not get me wrong. I am not saying lp is a good thing. But it's not necessarily a bad thing either. In 99.999% of the time. You will pay 1/3-1/2 more than convention financing. Your company will control how much you earn. (Same as any leased o/o. Buy if you walk you lose all you put into it) But if you are in position where that is your only option. AND you go into it with open eyes, known facts, positive attitude. Do research pick the right company for you. Than you can make it work. I've seen many many make it against the odds. But I've also seen many fail flat. Mostly due to their own fault. But then cry cry cry like the deck was stacked again't them. And it was, but knowing it is and planning for that in advance is key. -
Most drivers fail because they are dummies and have poor math skills.
Most these flease carriers pay $1-$1.35 a mile.
That is extremely cheap pay, might as well be a company driver vs flease Operator at that rate.drvrtech77, thelinedriver, Justrucking2 and 3 others Thank this. -

I was poor growing up. When I turned 18( 2 years ago) I go up to my local bank, get a Discover it credit card. They hold $200 deposit in case you run your 200 line of credit up and jump ship. Fast forward 2 years, I now have a truck and 2 trailers paid for and working on buying another trailer. Poor credit has nothing to do with lease purchases, it's people who think $1 dollar a mile is good pay, with no overhead. They don't really want to make it, that's why the truck gets resold again. Someone somewhere will loan you whatever amount you want, with an incredible high interested rate, it just depends on how bad you want it!
