I am in truck driving school through a state sponsored program, a great opportunity. But unfortunately I have a few marks on my record and every company I have spoken to so far has shut me down, Rohl, Swift, Knight, C.R. England. I have a misdemeanor for domestic battery, 1 year old, currently on unmonitored/un official probation and a suspended sentence. Have 3 moving violations in 3 years, 1 in the last 12 months. I really want to drive OTR, but haven't found a company willing to take me on based on my circumstances. I can wait it out till I am off probation, about 10 months. Hoping to find a second chance sooner, Drug free no Dui. Thanks for feedback.

Those moving violations are going to be a problem. Different companies have different cutoff thresholds for how many traffic violations you can have. All I can say is keep applying, and keep your nose clean.

Maybe try to get a yard dog or class b license job to keep a paycheck coming in.

Yeah they don't really care about the domestic stuff it's the moving violations that are the issue.

Wow. Perhaps look on C list. Maybe as a private contractor on 1099 pay you may find a chance?

    I live in northern Nevada.
I have received call backs from companies even after reporting the moving violations, it appears to be the probation/ suspended sentence that scares off most employers. Thank you for the Feedback so far.

Carolina Cargo might hire you. Do the online application before calling, then call and say, "I'm checking on my job application."
