Passport, $1000 cash, a flashdrive with all of your important stuff off your computer as backup, two EDC knives (you want to carry a fixed blade near your left for a quick left hand draw. Noone expects the left hand draw.)
If you're a company driver, travel light. Keep your important stuff either on you or near you. If you need to move, be ready to move.Oldironfan Thanks this. -

Tool box with a lot of tools, bulbs, zip ties, lights etc. An air hose with a glad hand attachment, a flashlight that will temporarily blind anyone with eyes, a nice Columbia River lockback knife, and depending on where I am going, a Smith and Wesson airweight .38. I am limited in the daycab Crapcadia which doesn’t have a lot of storage space, but I can get myself out of most situations with a little ingenuity.

I think we are all pretty much in agreement on one thing to carry. Protection.

Tools a few little spare parts that I have learned to keep that are not usually stocked for a 27 year old CAT. close to a 1000 cash, 2 sets of boots, clothes for 5 days (I get by the house alot). Very few canned goods just in case. 5 gallons of water, a crazy blue heeler dog and his accessories. 2 hot shot cattle prods a pair of sorting paddles. A hand made leather riding quirt with extra long poppers and a Springfield Armory 1911 45 ACP.
Justrucking2 and TripleSix Thank this. -
Being ready is part of that A Game. You dont want to be be unprepared when Fit hits the Shan.
I misread the opening post...thought it said WHAT TO CARRY ON YOU?
I own the truck, but i keep a backpack between the seats (overnight stuff and a change of clothes), carhardt on the passenger seat, and i wear real shoes. You don't have time to be fumbling around in an emergency.Last edited: Dec 27, 2017

One thing I would recommend is a pair of Muck Winter Boots. Man those babies are a life saver. Stuff them behind the seat and forget about them, until you roll into that truck stop or shipper, etc, and see a flooded or slop covered area that you have to park or load in... Also, if up North, I carry a set of boot chains. Snow chains for your boots, you get on ice, they save your tail bone. I only have one, and I want to keep it intact.
