The name alone is all marketing . And I don’t suck it up for anyone . Any one telling you to be unhappy for the sake of a company is stuck on the plantation

Might be a crazy idea but why not ask why the change? I got started with Schneider, flatbed if that tells you how long ago, they got me my license, I did my year and moved on. I can't think of any instance they "lied" to me

Because that's harder than assuming it was a straight up lie.

Miscommunication and misinformation is norm everywhere now days. Call up any company about any issue, depending on who you get on the phone depends on the answers you'll receive from honest to bs.

And yea, 1 week difference is probably someone not factoring in something somewhere for the original time frame quoted. I'd take it as a lie if someone told me 3 weeks that then turned out to be 3 months.

I have been driving for over 10 years and the first 7 were in a day cab, if you don't want to stay out that long find a company that will get you home more. There are non mega companies that take new drivers on

The issue wasn't the hometime as much as the misrepresentation. With this position, you don't accumulate extra days out for staying out longer so it really isn't worth the sacrifice nor having to slipseat. I'm waiting for the day this jet set ends because I think they will have a hard time keeping people in this position. It's amazing how quickly people jump to judge without even knowing or trying to comprehend what was being asked.

They told me they always put one month on the emails for jobs that are lasting longer than one week. Doesn't make sense to me.

Also, logically thinking about it, they are paying to send you by airplane to different regions where they need drivers. Don't you think they will want to get their money's worth for the flight tickets they bought?

One week off in scheduling is not what I would call a lie. This industry is full of bumps in the road. Time to put your big girl pants on. Welcome to trucking. ;-)

Time off doesn't necessarily equal home time to some companies, drove for one that felt a reset was time off. Lol
