LMFAO. You are in just about the worst place weather wise in the U.S. right now.

You need to get the fark out of there lol.

    My cousin runs up there.

One thing is for sure, you're holding your own against the bulldog running in those conditions in that territory.

I am enjoying reading about your experiences and pulling for your success. You sound like someone with drive and motivation to succeed and that alone can help you overcome obstacles you will undoubtedly face.
There are always going to be those who think if you don’t do it the exact way they are doing it then you have to be wrong. Did you know that many a millionaire was made by doing the things that others just barely get by doing? Some even by being company drivers and owner operators. You are sharing your experiences with others who may be able to learn from you. Like you said, you already pulled the trigger.
In fact one of your biggest critics did the same to me in one of his misguided posts some time back. I am very fortunate that after 30 plus years of trucking I can run a debt free operation with a rig I built new 2 years ago that generates $3,000-$4,000 in profits a week and has me home daily most weeks. That doesn’t mean I think I am any better than you are or anyone for that matter. 26 years prior to building this rig I was a 24 year old first time owner operator that knew nothing about owning a truck or making it profitable. Fast forward 26 years and that has changed in my favor. This makes me more likely to pull for someone who others mistakenly talk down to because 26 years from now you could be the next J.B. Hunt. He started with one truck.

My biggest suggestion to you would be to block those who can offer nothing but negative posts. Those that give you constructive criticism and real world advise for your current situation I would listen to. From my perspective you already seem to be open to their advise. If you can get work on your rig done at a company shop it could be much cheaper than a dealer. My company does some of my shop work when they do my quarterly inspections and their rate is $55 an hour compared to $100+ at a dealership. My truck is already up in the air so the labor costs are almost no extra charge. I can get my oil changed and lube done for a fraction of what I would pay at the Speedco. I do most of my routine maintenance myself because you can learn a lot about your truck by being under it with a creeper and a flashlight. Good luck and it certainly won’t be all sunshine and roses, but most of my knowledge has come from things I screwed up at least once.

Thx All. Next time I will try going back to Speedco. I used them always before with good luck and they give discounts and stuff. I used that loves because it was the first time I had xtra time on a load and could take an hour (riiight) during bankers hours for clown at leasing company. For other stuff I will look around at local shops. I have at least one in mind.
Here's a confession that the trolls will enjoy jumping on. I made the decision to do this lease because it's what I really want to do. But I'm scared to death and it keeps me constantly on edge. I'm going to remember what a favorite instructor told me when I first learned to drive. He would say all drawn out in his wonderful tejano accent "take it easy...." and everything works out.
I'm glad for all you fellow truckers out there reminding me of that too.

And speaking of trolls...i do notice the same ones show up all over these forums. Maybe there should be a troll forum and they can all be banished to it so they can rain on each other and we can go on getting good advice and encourage each other.

I've enjoyed reading your posts and I hope your Happy New Year has a load going south somewhere warmer. It was -21 in Northern NY yesterday after the new year and said it "feels like -34". Stay warm and drive safely!!

Not trying to be mean but a regen is cleaning out your DPF not your EGR. But You already knew that. Good luck up there.

I am NOT a fan of lease purchase but I am pulling for you. Hope it works out for you. Don't ignore the "trolls" they may have useful information that you can use, just ignore their sarcasm.
