I guess since I'm going to be a full time driver again soon, I might as well start participating in this thread.

Heading out to Westvaco Mine in Wyoming for Monday. Running with an empty pneumatic to load for delivery in Brandon, MB. Will be my first time in a truck west of Fargo and into South Dakota and Wyoming.

Been told the Ports of Entry can be a hassle in WY, any tips? Best truck stops?

We just watch the weather and if it gets cold like it did here last week we will run straight #1. Some of the pumps up here will have a blend, but I don't trust them so I will mix my own of #1 and #2 according to the weather forecast.

I have tried fuel supplements in the past and will get into trouble from time to time, so I just put the correct fuel in when needed.

Gotcha. Just wondering. We don't have #1 down here that I know of. Course we don't usually get below about 10 or so, and that usually doesn't last long. This little cold spell had us down below zero depending on where you were sitting.

I threw some Howes in and left the truck running and had no problems. But I'm home for the night tonight and I shut the truck off. Should be around 10 when I need to fire it up in the morning.

Guess I'll see what she's made of.

We was watching the bizarre foods the other night- the Inuit people eat moose real often. Showing how they heat up hoofs n crack them in half to eat the...toe meat I guess. ####in weird to see it done

You should be ok. Where I get into trouble with the fuel supplements is after letting the truck sit for a week or so and go to start, they act up so now I just put correct fuel in and know it will fire off and give me no trouble.
    Wow never heard of that!

    WTF???

So I spent all day moving my truck for a team (barely supper single) so they could have there trailer. They have been calling all day begging for work. Finally get the a load from one of our good brokers to Utah at a good rate. Owner just called and told me they are cleaning out there truck. Said driving in bad weather over the mountains stresses them out. My sister lives in Vail and it's like 55 deg and sunny there.

So now I got to cover it. Looks like I'm leaving at 3 am. So much for getting my winter vacation this year.
