If valves are froze it's because to much moisture is in your air lines. Air dryer is not doing it's job. More needs to be checked.

Take air feed line off compressor not running. Than start truck, with gloves on try to press hand against air feed port. If your hand does not get much pressure pushing it your compressor is shot. Also take a piece of white paper and hold it next to air feed port if you see oil splatter that means compressor is going bad, more than likely. And if it's spitting oil your air dryer is sucking that oil in to it making it not function properly. Air dryer should be replaced every year.

Filter. But if you have an bendix ad9 than you need to take dryer housing apart. To get to the filter/ cartridge.

Also you should take you feed line off compressor and take it off at the air dryer. Try to blow air through it. It may be plugged up. I've had a feed line rub until it burst once also.

I have the one with the spin on filter on top. Just changed it a few months ago, well I basically changed ALL the filters on the truck since I didn't know how long any of them had been on when I bought it.

    Oldironfan Thanks this.

That's a good thing. Now you know how old they are. That's a piece of mind.
