I now set my mud flaps with an inclinometer to the nearest quarter of a degree. I’m also working on developing a laser guided, solar powered, continuous mud flap inclination adjustment system. It will keep your mud flaps perfectly level even through Shreveport, LA.

    It’s called the ESADTX.

I went 5 months under my new authority with no issues. One day I got stopped in Alabama bobtail going to get a new trailer out of Atlanta. Crack in bottom of passenger side windshield. Ok I say, I knew it wasn't a ticket, but I took it anyway because I could already see it about to go bad when a second state patrol pulled up. They look at my logs and ask where am I going and why am I bobtail. I explain where and then the BS questions start. Any large amounts of cash on you, ever been convicted of a drug offense, etc.
They took my cash counted it out and made me tell them how much it was. Mind you I had the bank receipt and the application with me in the truck from the trailer dealer. In the end I kept my mouth shut and took the write up for the windshield, a tire and an inoperable reverse light!

Over the next 3 months I got a level III 7 times! between AL and my home of LA

As far as local. I can attest and any of your fellas or ladies who have ever been a victim of the LA DOT around the Hammond/Baptist scales in Louisiana will surely express the same. They are full of bull manure! You may get lucky once, but never twice. It's revenue they are after and revenue they will get!

You’re lucky you got your cash back. Alabama likes to keep it and make you fight for it, hoping you’ll just give up.

Well that's it. Never sharing another experience here as long as I live.

Just got a failed level 3, cause I missed a temporary inspection / scale in Colorado.

    I never saw it.

They had like 6 trucks pulled over where I was, probably cause that's all the cars they had. So I wasn't the only one that didn't see it.

No citation. But it's on this inspection report. I guess this will be like a warning so I'm stuck with it.

    What a crock of ####.

The mighty have fallen. Humbled before The Lord.

Man stuff like this, mud flaps, dash cam in wrong spot. Soon no one will be left.

I still don't recall even seeing a sign saying there was a temporary scale or whatever.

Anyway F all you guys. If I wouldn't have posted anything, this never would have happened.

You're right. Few places like to pull that crap. Around my area every other month there's some type of road stop where they confiscated big money.

Pull your dash cam for the day, save the files, and look for the sign. Might be that the sign was blown over or something.

There are some "experts" who have estimated that the average person commits 3 felonies per day...
