    Heya,

Just having opportunity to welcome you to the fold, hopefully.

Keep up your thread, when able. May well have a hard time with that when/if you hit TNT, but will be a good thing for others that think of coming here IF you find the time... LOL

Been awhile since anyone has posted a full account.

Wish you the best, buddy. And, hope you get a good PSD that may even carry you through through the rest.

Thanks @FullMetalJacket. It’s 11:57 pm and I just finished up simulators. The machines are very nice and once again, I’m very happy with the instructors. Super nice guys and very insightful. Back to class at 7:00 am. Out

Go in there tomorrow & ask Wally where you need to put the quarters.....

    Muh, ha ha......!

Don't do it, I was being facetious!

Funny note.....when we did get the new iteration simms, was only first week when he had someone throw cookies on brand new one.

    Wally just loved that...... LOL

Great guy, just like screwing w/him like he screwed with me. Hope he's still there & hasn't retired yet. Have a lot more folks involved with that now, than when he used to be sole guy in charge.

It's progressed farther than I ever thought possible & much more than I ever expected it could become. Sat in on the new Simms & was very impressed. Liked the folks I met running it, too. But, realize it is still not anything like actual reality. Just giving you a taste & encouraging.

Can say, the way they changed things up...... Did have a major effect as to how fresh students were able to shift, out of the gate. Which was not the case at all with old simms.

But, seems to be a moot point, anyways now..... as all are for most part going into manual automatics, go figure.

But, hopefully they will continue to maintain those manual trucks for actual testing, so y'all won't have to be limited to an "auto only" license.

Get some sleep & attack it with all you got. Utilize your time to best advantage getting everything down now that you can. Do not waste time you have, even when on own. Learn everything you are scheduled to ahead of time.

Show that initiative, motivation & drive on your own.

Guarantee somebody you need right now will likely notice. :biggrin_255::biggrin_25525:

Brings back memories. Did my PSD and TNT about 3.5 years ago, am still with Prime, and have been treated fairly all along.

Good luck with your training. It's all worth it once you get out on your own.

Just finished up second day here at Prime Inc. PSD. It was another full speed day. Had a couple classes this morning including a pre trip inspection class. After that I shuttled to DMV and passed all four permit tests (general, air brakes, comb. vehicles and tanker) on the first shot. I will add that on top of studying the manual, I also used an app called DMV Genie. 90 percent of the questions I studied on the app were on the DMV test... word for word. After the DMV I came back to campus inn, wrapped up my computer based training and then went to the simulator lab. After a couple hours on simulators my group was able to go ahead and test out early. We all passed the first go. With that said, hopefully I can get out of here tomorrow evening or Saturday to start training for CDL. Out.

I been through all this what you writing about now. You have nothing else to do right? Everyone so great, it is all so great, blah blah blah. That how Prime makes money, on students, dummy drivers like me and you.
I am on the road now, on my own. Not doing great at all. Sales screwing me giving 1$ mer mile, refusing a lot of loads, they make me sit for 1 day without a load, offering 1.15$ per. mile, than give 1.25$ per mile, i make average 850$ a week doing lease with Prime, not taking home time at all, want make some money. Planning to quit this company this month, cant earn any money here at all. We care about drivers, we need drivers, aha moment comes when you will be dropped in #### on your own than you will see how is it like to work for Prime, living in this can, and not getting any money. Some say you need show loyalty to Prime, some say money comes during second lease.
All is a brainwash, and this thread only proves how easy to owe a new driver wannabe like you. It appealed to me as well, seemed like very well organized company, but once you get in your TNT phase you will eat some #### there first, if you will make it through, than the funny part starts, the reality will hit the fan and you will get enlightment what is all about. The way i see it, i am screwed as long as i am working here, cant even survive till 1 year ends not to pay them that fee for CDL school. It is not money, it is peanuts for trucker what i earn.

If you’ve read the thread, you will realize that I have only written an account of the PSD phase. Not once have I made a comment about real world trucking, what it’s like, or what I get paid. I believe that anything is only as good as what you make it. I’ve read plenty of posts by Prime veterans that are happy and plenty, like yourself, that aren’t. Sounds to me like you’re too miserable to see straight. Why haven’t you quit yet? No ones holding a gun to your head. Just my 2 cents.

Found your problems. Both of these are bad. You need to be a company driver until you have enough money/credit to buy your own truck.
