Well, I just went through the Edwardsville terminal.
I needed a bit inspection, and I was already on hold. The hold was removed from the last load to get me there for the inspection during my next load.
I only had 2.5 hours of leeway in that load, or I would have had to t-call it or still be on hold when I got to Omaha.
They had me in and out in less than 2 hours, and I made my delivery on time.

I have been disappointed and impressed by the same terminal more than once, so I really have no favorite or worst to report. There have been good and bad experiences at every one.

But I won't shower in ANY terminal.
If I have been a week without a shower, I'll wait until I can get to a clean truck stop that I trust.
At least I know they are cleaned between each use, and no terminal can say the same.

Jurupa, one of the worst especially since it was just built, the #### yard is a safety hazard. I recently had a load to tcall there, I turned it down commenting safety hazard. My experience has been triple parked trailers blocking rows and seeing freshly ran over tractors all over the place, pathetic hellhole.

Edwardsville took 2 weeks in 2011 to fix a oil leak, after those two weeks it still leaked and I drove that truck out of there with a gallon a day leak. Stayed at hotel nearby cause they were “real short on empty tractors” at the time. I’ve since then always avoided the shop there, yea it’s probrably changed.

Just went to my fav West Valley, UT terminal, got sick from lady that cooks tacos at night, had chicken ones full order. Ironically she was telling me she has had lots of complaints of people getting sick while cooking my food, doh. Not eating that again. Still best service plus freightliner next door for major stuff.

One observation of Swift I have had since I started is many of the places Swift gets sent to pu/del have been way more hazardous than most every other company I worked for. I used to be a East Coast big city meat hauler and that was easier. Locations too small, tricky directions, and I have heard “usually a box truck brings it” many freaking times. I say this now because many times seeing a place like Jurupa terminal I think “so wonder Swift wrecks so much”.

Back in my day I have to say Fontana when it was around and hate to say this, but at time, Phoenix as long as no work need on my truck. Also IGH as far as people being friendly. I have to admit back when, as a L/O there, I could go inside and see the planners. As far as working on my truck, I really did like El Paso

Inver Grove Heights, yes. Always friendly and usually quick.

I did have one time when they failed to fix an oil leak in the transmission output shaft on a ProStar.
Being fair, however, it had been to three other Swift shops and a dealer before I brought it there - for the same and original problem.

After my long and frustrating experience with that problem I got a bit testy when I brought it back the next day.
I told them that the seal wasn't the problem, which is what was always replaced by EVERY shop. I told them to inspect the race for a scratch.
Low and behold... that was the problem.

It seems like everyone goes by the notion that you simply do the cheapest thing first, next and last.
But NEVER really inspect things to find the actual cause of the problem.
I hadn't actually inspected anything, but I knew where the problem had to be if replacing the seal so many times didn't fix the problem.
I should not have had to tell the 'professionals' where the problem was.

IGH does have a good shop and nice facilities but their lot is comically over crowded. Surprised they don't rent some land to do the school and use that space for trailers.

You think IGH is comically overcrowded? That’s friggin hilarious. You need to make a trip to the Greer terminal.

Greer, IGH, JV, Denver... the list goes on.
Those are the 4 worst for overcrowding as far as I know, but many come close.
And then there are the many drop yards that can be a nightmare as well.

And much of it just depends on when you get there.
Get there one day and it will be double stacked along the aisles, and the next day at noon it will be nearly empty.

It is the same with truck stops if you get there too late in the day, in many parts of the country.

So there is no use in griping about it; it is what it is.
As always, try to plan your trip properly to get you there at the right times.

I would set that ranking at Greer, JV, Denver, and IGH.
