Drivers do help each other out all the time, but I doubt that includes helping out complacent outlaws. The ones that do are also likely (IMO) to help protect the illegal immigrants in our USA... which is sad but most likely true. The political angle is certainly alive and well on the outlaw issue. Don't you agree?
Did anybody get inspected for ELD yet?

In my opinion the ELD mandate was pushed forward under the guise of safety, but will likely result in no added benefit. I also believe that the real reason behind the ELD mandate has nothing to do with safety, and that is what I object about it.
I don't believe that your example of outlaw is at all representative of the older drivers with impeccable safety records and millions of miles under their belts. The ones that used to stop and help other drivers along side the road; the ones that use the CB to warn other drivers of hazards; and the ones that object to ELDs. -
I just got a roadside lvl 3 inspection, in Wisconsin yesterday. On us 10. Never asked if i was on elog, never asked for my logs. I have paper. Only truck book and licence. Did not even want my med card, weird I thought. But Wisconsin troopers were watching everywhere yesterday.

Cops don't ask for your med card anymore, since it's in their system tied to your CDL. They can see if you have it or not when they run your license.
