I don't know what kind of sheltered life you have lived. I may be "Dirty Harry", for all you know. I was simply asking a question and for opinions. I adhere to the notion "I"de rather have a firearm and not need it, rather than need it and not have it." Let some idiot try to pull off one of these mass shootings (which are occurring more often nowadays) around you or your family, and you'll be very thankful IF someone with enough sense to have been armed is there.

It is unfortunate that some people choose to be defenseless. And I see it as a waste. I would certainly try to help if it at all is possible within the situation if it should develop. But it's not guaranteed because in my state we are not obligated to "Draw"
I think what bothers me more than anything is when I carry concealed properly under license into the store, how many people appear to be consumed with their little troubles and not have the heads and eyes up looking for people that might be a problem. Im standing right next to them. And I am not the problem. Follow me?Coover and jammer910Z Thank this. -

Havent seen those since 9-11....
And are those 3.5 inch magnum slugs too?
As a side note, not to side track anything, sometimes it is very easier to carry a long gun than it is to carry a handgun. Theoretically you can take a long gun almost anywhere provided it's on your back via a sling. But that does not mean society will accept such a act. They would treat you as a nutter.Last edited: Jan 14, 2018

USCCA carries about a 30 dollar a month for Premium insurance which includes a generous bond amount and a fixed per court day payable to you. I think 500 dollars a court day.
I signed up for the program when it was only about 80,000 to 120,000 people back then years ago. Now its probably half a million if not more.
In Arkansas When Obama was first elected, that Xmas holdiay when we bought guns for the first time, it was a very packed store. It was amazing. wall to wall people buying everything in the place. I think we got a mossberg 500, a 870 for me marine magnum and a pair of handguns by morning. Older smith and wesson M&P without any restrictions on it plus a +38 special for her.
Anyhow.
We were I think 45000 Licensed Carry per ASP that year. Now we are approximately 180000 approaching 200,000 licensed carrry out of about 1.5 million. Texas all together is approaching 2 million daily licensed carry.
I don';t know about you, but between us, we can deploy several Army groups with that many. In fact, within our Governors State Militia under 45 you are part of it under the Concealed Carry Division should he choose to call it out. And no this is actual fact, not a nutter comment.jammer910Z Thanks this. -
