If that exemption passes and us small time operators return to using paper rather than these wonderful time management and productivity driving devices, we will be at a disadvantage. I wish the pushers of the ELD would realize should we continue the archaic paper log process that we will obviously be our demise in relatively short order.![]()
Perhaps the big boys will have to rethink their approach of "leveling the playing field" once again.
Did anybody get inspected for ELD yet?

I don't have a problem using ELDs if they work.
The fundamental issue is, as it stands right now? They don't
(Daffy demonstrates life with ELDs)
Paper logs don't run out of batteries.
Pencils do not "lose signal" with paper. (PENS! I caught myself)
Most importantly, paper logs don't randomly change like an etch-a-sketch.Last edited: Jan 15, 2018
