That is the correct action to take when falling over. It doesn't work real well if ice is reason you fell, though. One time I slipped on a sidewalk downtown SLC. When I shot back up (your suggested response) I immediately fell right back over. :D

So unfortunately, if ice is the reason you fell, you are going to have to own your mistake and embrace public embarrassment.

I just about broke my ribs going down on ice last winter. Went down like a tree.

That's what I looked like when I fell. Was running across the street and jumped over the grass area (full of snow), landed on the sidewalk and physics dictated that my legs go over my head and I landed right on my upper back. Lucky I didn't break my neck. Then I shot right back up then shot right back down again. Wish I had a video to show yall

It happened right in front of my truck as I was walking back from a GOAL, chances are pretty good a trucker parked across had recorded it on their dashcam.

Try walking in ski boots on an icy parking lot to the lifts carrying all your gear. A guy can really get hurt walking around on ice. Penguin walk. Lol.

    tl;dr

On the topic of multi-drop loads "sucking":

I've done runs with 20-28 drops out of a 53' roll-tite all over Saskatchewan in three and a half days. Most of the businesses are open 7:30am - 5:00pm so you work 8-10 hours a day. It's a cake run and I'll do multi-drops any day of the week.

Regular deck runs I'm making $250 CAD gross a day when I'm rolling. That multi-drop run I was over $330 CAD gross a day. Get out of the kitchen if you can't take the heat. I thrive on those adrenaline-pumping challenges.
