You're in a good location for food grade tanker once you get some experience. Maybe look at Cypress Flatbed or CTL

I went to Schneider on a dedicated account. It was a regional coverage account as well meaning I delivered to stores from a central point (close to my home). Account deliveries were all within a half or 3/4 days drive so the longest runs were only a single overnight or a 14 hour day plus a 10 hour break right into the next day. It was a good exposure to route planning and driving. Schneider's training was pretty good.

    Good Luck!

Schneider wanted to do my reimbursement so slowly that it take three years. I have no idea about other companies and I didn't stay long enough to get it back because I make way more money at another company.

I was just saying there’s a lot more options than the ones OP listed. I’m new to the industry but one thing I did do was a lot of research and questioning. Best of luck to you all.

@captjimmy my its all good. I started a few years ago so I'm still new as well. I was blind sided by the reimbursement pace. Other than that it was a really good experience for me.

The things I looked for was terminal location, close to home is important because ten hour breaks are fairly short, if you can't get home fast its not worth even going.
Equipment, are you assigned a truck or "jumpseating", because screw that.
Income expectations in the first year and so on.
Where do they run and how much does seniority have to do with the runs you get?

Covenant was very classy in their response to me when I told them I had accepted another job. "Thank you for becoming a driver."
I put much into looking for a job. Many applications. I think I did great. Should leave training this week. Put in the effort. It will pay off. No I won't S! on your thread by boasting for my ego on what I ended up with.

The cut-offs for CFI in Florida is I-4... Haines City is close enough you'll probably be able to get a waiver but you have to ask the recruiters on that

So may I ask how they hired you out of Fort Myers or did you move there after the hiring process.
