I thought that parksmart was only for cooling and there is a seperate control for the bunk heater. If thats so, and he's been trying to run parksmart instead of the bunk heater the shop may he very confused as to what he is complaining about.

I actually know nothing about that parkcrapith. LOL. If that is what this turns out to be then it's a sad situation. All I know is that in winter, engine = Life. No engine = mr freeze.

I just know the number of drivers we have who don't understand the bunk heater. One of the service advisors at Gary told me of a guy who switched the unit to ventilation instead of heat. Another who thought the bunk hvac controls ran the bunk heater. Simple, and easy, enough mistakes to make, but if you can't communicate and listen to instructions life gets hard in a hurry.

Not saying its the case here, just that its a possibility.

There's also a lot of drivers who don't understand that APUs, bunk heaters and other auxiliary systems need regular maintenance or they will fail, just like your engine.

I drove a truck with Park Smart for awhile and your right. It's only for cooling. Separate control for Espar. I guess it's possible that the Espar draws off the Parksmart battery bank but that's probably not the case.

Be careful; I quit Conway Truckload a few years back and they left me stranded.
I made the mistake of wanting to give them a two week notice so I called my DBL while I was on a run, figuring that I would finish and that sometime within the two weeks, I would eventually be routed to an area near my home.
    Not so.
I lived in Las Vegas at the time and when I called to let CWTL know that I was giving them my "Two Weeks", they simply said to return the truck to the nearest, authorized area which they provided. Problem was, I was in Texas at the time. I was appalled and I considered a hijack, just to get home, but then I thought the better of it and I did as I was told.
I had to get to an airport (expensive taxi) and then get a plane home ( really expensive plane ride) all at my own expense.
Yes, these trucking companies really do operate like this.

Not trying to be combative but why is it We as drivers expect a trucking company to provide us a ride home after we quit working for them, yes they'll provide transportation to work for them and it would be great of they did or do provide transportation home bit I don't understand the expectation or anger when we quit and it's our responsibility to get home. I've never quit a job and not gotten myself home. Even if they offered a bus ticket I just rent a car and do my own thing.

Parksmart is separate from the truck in a way and it is purely electronic. No diesel heat.
