Can they tow your truck with a dog in it?

Well Dog gone! Likely on the buffet served up as Bow wow chowmein. I would not leave my hound unattended in vehicle. He would feed a party of 20!

 

the one time i had to have my truck towed. my dog just rode in my truck on the hook. he had food and water weather was fair enough that wasn't a problem. tow truck ride was about an hour maybe just under. many people leave there dogs in much worse places for much longer periods of time.

tow truck operator asked what i wanted to do with my dog and i just said he should be find to just ride in my truck and he said works for me.

There are no other options for me. Not when I spend $150 at Walmart that woulda cost $200 anywhere else. And yes I have shopped all the groceries in my town and did a comparison. I have saved so much by shopping at Walmart.

 

So he not an actual service animal? See this is where i take issue, because there are genuinely injured individuals who need their service animal, and there you are taking advantage of the law. That kind of #### really pisses me off.

 

Yeah just wait til they decide they aren't making enough profit and close the store after they successfully kill off the local grocery store, hardware store, etc. That sure will be a nice town to live in. Home value? Unemployment rate? Crime go up or down now?
I wouldn't expect someone like you to understand the value of where you spend your money. You're just another drone who knows the cost of everything and the value of nothing.
Has your wal mart ever sponsored a local kids sports team? Does wal mart pay it's employees enough rather than help them get on the government dole for food stamps WHILE THEY ARE EMPLOYED ?? And if your hardware store owner Mr Smith said to his workers "I'll work you 35 hours a week( to keep you from being full time), I'll pay you this much, but hey I will show you how to apply for government assistance." How dirty is that? SOP at WM. Every time people shop at WM they are further forwarding the decline. But hey .... you "saved a few bucks".

 

Someone like me? Mindless drone? Friend, relax. It's not the end of the world that I shop there. It is my choice.

With that being said I would kindly ask you not to call me names or throw a hissy fit ir something so trivial. I was respectful to you. I expect the same.

You aren't saving as much as you think. You might save 5% in exchange for the other reasons I listed previously. Other local stores being forced out due to shady business practices by wal mart. Eventually resulting in shuttered storefronts, making your town less attractive as a whole. Who wants to move there or raise a family there? Home prices may decline. People move away. Closed stores means higher unemployment. Higher competition for the available work. It does not end well. Still seem trivial? Wal mart is only very good at marketing leading people to believe they save a large amount over their competitors.

Here's another issue local to me wal mart does.
There is a small factory near where I live that makes various snow shovels and brushes for cars. Wal mart will order say 500,000 units. With the caveat of this is what we will pay you for them. And whatever doesn't sell we will return the product and not pay you for what doesn't sell. Okay. So that forces downward pressure on all small factory costs...including their workers wages. As well as if wm decides to send it back. So the sale isn't final until the customer buys it from wm. To me....that's real dirty. But the average person says what do I care? No different than buying the Chinese made whatever vs American made. That's someone in a far away town, that doesn't effect me.

I rather not support those practices.

 

I know how much I save dude. Like I said I did a side by side comparrison. We have Walmart, Kroger, Meijer, Jungle Jim's (local place, specializes in exotic foods and beer from around the world), Sam's Club and Target (their grocery department sucks). I shopped Kroger and Meijer both, did a regular shopping trip of what we normally get. $215 at Kroger $200 at Meijer, and $150 at Walmart.

Besides that, believe it or not, Walmart's food quality is better than Kroger. Kroger's meats suck and they have a lot more variety of products than Target.

Also, there were no mom and pops here when Walmart got here. Walmart just came in about 10 years ago, the only mom and pop was Thriftway and they were put out of business by Meijer. Kmart was here but they went bye bye when Target came in. So, your mom and pop theory doesn't work. At least in my neck of the woods.

I am sorry you don't like Walmart. It certainly is your right to do so, but I gotta ask, why do you care if I like them or not?

 

It's not about you specifically. It's more of the general consensus of people wanting to live in a nice town with a bakery, a hardware store, a clothing store, a meat shop, etc, never support any of it then wonder what happened when big box is the only game in town. I guess the mindset comes with being a small business of my own. I view it as big box already has it made, while the Patterson family business doesn't have the advertising budget the big guy has. I spend money in Patterson's store he spends it in mine. I spend it in Wal-Mart they do what exactly for me? The reason the price is lower is like I said before you just pay more in the form of taxes to subsidize their workers. What happens when that becomes industry standard? Have a job at a big box and at the same time be eligible for government handout. How does that even make sense?
