All I know is that I am saving tons of money by shopping there, and to me, like it or not, that is all that matters.

I'm just curious, who forces Mr. small business owner to agree to that arrangement?

    CrappieJunkie Thanks this.

If you want your product on their shelf, it's part of the deal. Nothing is forced. It's just a business practice of theirs which I don't agree with.
Perhaps I should quit thinking and just select the lowest cost option without regard to the repercussion that choice will have on others. Yes my one purchase is a drop in the ocean so why does it matter? Does only one vote matter? Look where that got us....;)

You never answered my question, why do you care so much about where people shop? If I like Walmart, why do you care?

How did I not answer it? How many ways do I need to put it? You obviously will never understand it, which is fine. Wal mart depends on it's customers knowing the cost of everything but the value of nothing. Sheep to the slaughter!

You provided mumbo jumbo about mom and pop places. What you have yet to address is why you are worried about everyone else's actions and not yourself.

I simply mention that I shop Walmart cause I save so much money and you have spent all this time trying to convince me as why Walmart is bad. I don't care.

This whole lamb to the slaughter thing, you can jist get over yourself with that. I know more about value than most people. If you knew my background you would know I spent part of my adult life homeless, scrounging for the best deal that I could get. I know none of that matters to you, however it does to me.

You don't like Walmart. I get it. I have not tried to convince you you should like them. However, all you have done is try to convince me to not shop there.

So, before I say anything that can get me banned I am going to stay lets just agree to disagree and just drop the subject. God bless you and your family and have a nice day.

I must take a trip to California
And leave my poor doggy alone, ...........

    Good gosh AussieJosh!!!
I haven't heard those lyrics in a long
    l o n g
    time.
    :clock:
Talk about a flash from the past.
That was a favorite song that I sang a lot,
back in my pre-school days. Now, because of you,
that song will be stuck in my head for the rest of
the day, --- maybe even longer,
    I hope.
'Cause it's makin' me feel much younger.

    ThanX! :salute:
    I needed that. :headbang:

Sounds like a sad, sad situation. No other options?
Shopping at Wally*World is your prerogative. Shopping there is one thing, but to ignore the truth about Wal*Mart and what that corporation's business practices are is quite another thing. It is what it is. If you're comfortable with that, so be it.
If you weren't aware before, you are now.

Your choice, that it is. Right or wrong, it IS your choice.
    No argument about that. :biggrin_25512:

    SaY WhaT?!
    Am I reading that correctly?
    "Throw a hissy fit"?
You consider Gokiddogo's posts indicate throwing a hissy fit?
    Imagine that and go figure.
Considering the derogatory names you come up with for those who you disagree with, one gets the impression you have "thickskin". Which is it Crappy? Your inconsistencies are confusing, not to mention trying to keep up with your ever changing flip-flopping opinions.
    Any way the wind blows?

    :banghead::roll:

I realize your question is directed toward CrappyJunkie, but you're correct, it doesn't even make any sense. How that isn't obvious, I wonder, because it seems to suggest being oblivious to repercussions directly related to the decisions we make and the ripple effect those decisions create for others to contend with.

Was that the Sunday sermon this week?
Do unto others before they have a chance to do unto you?
As long as you're happily saving money, does it matter that there are lost souls seeking what you claim you've already received, and seem to be unwilling to share with others who haven't found salvation? I would think you'd be anxious to make them aware of the possibilities that exist to better their lives. It's very easy to claim one's beliefs, but one's actions tell the truth.

I sure wouldn't want to have to answer the question Saint Peter asks at the Pearly Gates, --- entrance to Heaven, "What have you done for Him"?
Hint: answering, "Uhhh, not all that much. Closer to nothing at all. I was so overwhelmed with helping myself first, that I didn't have the time to think about anyone else, besides me.
    What?
Am I my brother's keeper"?, probably wouldn't get'cha an eternal pass into the Kingdom.
That's part of "that is all that matters," --- like it or not.

    :banghead::roll:

Compassion isn't something everybody has, or even understands --- some have no concept what compassion is, other than to receive.

    :banghead::roll: Hmmmmm ------
Perhaps the "mumbo jumbo" you're reading is questioning why you tend to think only of yourself at the potential expense of others? And won't see, or read, or acknowledge the graffiti clearly written on the wall.

    You don't care?
As long as your belly is full of your savings at Wally*World, how that affects a community doesn't matter to you?
How'd you get a CDL-A license, when you can turn a blind eye to situations?

And now you're not homeless, --- yet you continue to think like you're homeless?
Everyone for themselves? After me, you come first? Accept shabby treatment for others if it saves you a few bucks? Who saves your soul, Sam Walton? Did your Savior put forth the notion of ignoring His flock in need? How did you rise above homelessness? Did you do it all by yourself, or did prayer along with others who don't share your attitude, work for you and now you're doing fine, except for a lingering attitude that could benefit from adjusting?
Why should it matter to you, what anyone else thinks?
    You "don't care."
    Right?

That's your take on the matter?
What I'm reading seems more like trying to make you aware of the dark side of Wal*Mart. It's your decision what, if anything, you decide to change, or remain the same, in spite of reality.

    YeaH, God bless you, too.
And God bless those who don't matter to you, as well, --- who might not have the option of having a nice day.

    Dumdriver and gokiddogo Thank this.
