that's like a job i used to have and frankly my current job. we only have "at hand" 2 maybe 3 temp drivers the boss will call in, and they are NOT used during our black out times. so we are stuck to work.

Management has lost all credibility with drivers. We're tired of being lied to all the time. Misinformation and lack of information are a daily thing here.
New VP wants to save money....so he starts by taking money away from the drivers and hires a couple more "directors" for God knows what reason. Getting top heavy at the expense of the bottom workers...we all know where that gets you. More rules, regulations and micro-management like never before here at Ashley.

I have a friend there who just gave his two week notice. His manager is practically begging him to stay. No miles, sitting around the yard for hours for loads that arent ready to go. Contract company getting all of the long mile loads. He was there over a year. Had enough. Dont blame him.

Things are changing at Ashley and not for the good, I'm on the LTL side some of the things management does is beyond me, you'll have a 10 stop load with 120-160 pieces on the trailer bust your butt trying to get it done and just when you think you're done nope I need you to go pick up a backhaul and take it to Carlisle, Pa then go to Leesport and pick up your load for the next assignment. They'll complain about deadhead miles one moment then turn around and deadhead you 200+miles

I interviewed with them once. In the end I told them I didn’t think I had the teeth for *that* kind of work. ;)

What the hell is up with jobs and only giving you a 34 hour reset? That right there is a big red flag. I'm a local guy, work 5 days, off weekends. If you drive regional, home every weekend, it should be that you leave Monday morning, back Friday night. Sleep in own bed Friday night, home Saturday and Sunday, back out Monday morning. Get the hell out of here with that 34 hour homtime bs. Piece of crap companies!
