I often called it "frog soup", but people thought I was just being a "hater".

 

But to be fair, I’m having a grand ole time, but people just think i’m a “koolaid drinker”.

 

To be fair, Magnum is still a decent company, in my opinion. However, the writing is on the wall, from automated transmissions, dash cams, idle timers, collision mitigation/adaptive cruise, cutting back the off cruise speed limiter to 62... Slowly but surely the chains are being shortened, it's only a matter of time before Magnum becomes just another totalitarian regime. It's a shame too, I used to enjoy working here, now it's just another job.

 

You're still having a grand ole' time because you've only just begun you trucking career. After a few more years, you'll see other options, better fitting companies, or Magnum will have gone down the dark side towards more of a micromanaging mini-mega and you'll realize, the grass really is greener over on the other side...mean while, enjoy it while you can.

I picked the wrong time to shut down me thinks. Flying J in roberts, WI is packed by 7pm. Only 3 spots left, would be more if other truckers didnt kill spots by being slanted in areas. I got a nice spot in the back though. Got a CB finally hooked up in this truck, trainer gave me his cobra 29 ltd chrome CB that he had modded. Pretty awesome gift!

 

Glad to hear it's nice in Oregon. Think I'm through the worst of it in Montana.
