    Plymouth, IN heading for MN.

Hoping the storm ahead of me finishes up doing it's thing once my 10hr is up.

Made it as far to it as I could on clock to the leading edge, then shut down. Rather go through Chico overnight, anyways, if it dumps.

It sucks. Monday sucks! The snow sucks! Sales people SUCK!!! Did I mention it's cold here!!!!

Left Iowa 80 yesterday and drove through all that suckiness until I stopped in PA. Got up this morning it was 5 degrees, clear but lots of wind. Get 35 miles away from delivery in Queens/Long Island City, NY (Yeah, not saying a word on that one!!!!) and I blow a radiator hose and loose my main belt on the engine! I was 2 hours ahead of schedule and so happy.....5 hours later and $1,000 I was rolling again. Missed my load taking me back home though. But Hey I got see some parts of downtown NYC, Queens, the bronx and Long Island I never ever ever want to try and get a 44k lbs 53' long 13'6" tall trailer through again! The exit they gave me for getting off of the 287 took me smack dab to a 12'6" bridge to squeeze under. Found out later I could have made it under, the signs were talking about if you made a right turn there it would be 12'6" (Except the sign doesn't say that at all, just it's 12'6").

Now I am safe and sound (wait i'm in bordentown NJ, there ain't anything safe here) parked at a truck stop!

Lets see, for a mondy the world ended, the eagles won last night, the stock market crashed, my truck tried to kill me with stress, and I haven't showered yet! By the way, poptarts do not count as food and that's all I've eaten since 7am est today! So now I am off to the shower then get some real food!!!!!!

I wish you all a good fracking rest of your monday and may tuesday make today feel like a nightmare!

    Pigeon Forge.....

I mean Providence Forge, VA at the new Loves across from the Pilot I always stop at.

Nice..... Nice.... Fairly large & lots of room. Good size spaces. Separate RV parking. I like what they have done here.

60mi from family in Powhatan, on other side of Richmond. Already nearly burned up my off duty driving getting back up here from Newport News.

Ah, that's alright. Saw them briefly at rest area on way through. Got some drama going on I really do not want to deal with, anyways.....

Oh yeah, folks coming into that crazy SPC - -IWI (Smithfield) place are in for a treat! The jockeys FINALLY got tired of the mess & craziness of the place & finally did a bang up job of reorganizing the place. And, a fine job they did.

I had to make a point of going up to both jockeys to tell them how impressed I was with what they have done. They seemed to be very greatfull for the acknowledgement.

Sooooo, anyone whom has cringed at going there, fret not. The guys have done so good of a job there you will not even recognize it's the same place. Can just hope they keep it up.

PLEASE be sure to take the minimal effort to thank the facility & jockeys for what they have done. Sure makes life so, so much easier there.

For all the new guys that will get sent there... You have no idea what it was like. If they do NOT keep things in order, you will surely see what it can be in due time. So, again....If'n you do go there & things are nice, give a word up to the guys. They never really hear it from anyone & really appreciate it.

NEVER take things for granted, especially if you have been forwarned about a situation in advance.

Things could always go back to the way they were. Good training situation, no doubt about it.....but something I would rather not go back to if I had a choice! LOL Give Cudo's out where they are deserved. They go a long way for us out here. Trust me.......

    PEACE all! :biggrin_25525:
