But will that pay match what we're earning today? Or will we continue to see our earnings drop?

This concept allows drivers to KEEP THEIR JOBS? While etc etc etc?

HAW HAW HAW HAW HAW... instead of steering wheel holder I am now a recliner in the bunk sipping coffee, munching junk food and watching B grade films while the truck runs off Sandstone in a blizzard.

    HA....

At the beginning yes. Eventually no. My point was mainly that the line haul ltl jobs will be the first to embrace them because that model is the easiest to adapt to them. Many of the pieces are already in place.

idk. ask the pilots and conductors/engineers.

they can’t fully automate a train, on rails. doubt trucks will ever be fully automated.

Good on him, well above median

    Railroad Occupations & Wages

Looking at aggregates over time, industries that increased automation show a decrease in wages and number of jobs.

i’m not disagreeing with any of this except - the ltl market will be the first to suffer.

for starters, i’d LOVE to see an automated truck drive in some of the conditions we have encountered this year. we already know it can’t. whatever the case, i’m gonna ride this bull until she gives up or i go down with her. at my current rate i could easily retire in 15 years, when i’m 50. if that’s what i have to do, so be it.
