You know the wind is strong when you feel like you are in a boat out in the ocean while parked.

Wind is gusting 50+mph here in Rawlins, WY.

Wishful thinking of course...on my 34 due to inefficient hour management....very sad settlement incoming.

I think it started the minute I left my house with my first run to Kansas...should have attempted to drop it in Sapulpa, OK. Would a 41 work if they felt like it? I didn't try. I sat a day plus on that load. My hour roll overs reflect my decision making out of the gate. A 700 dollar week, preceded by a 900 dollar week.

    MachoCyclone Thanks this.

I would have been sending that 41 the moment I sent the loaded call.

On the other hand, Sapulpa has been a black hole for trucks lately. Everyone is going there for work to be done (sometimes with a 2-3 day wait time) and refusing a free rental. Then they sit around the yard and motel complaining about not making any money.

So, the office has been trying to avoid using Sapulpa as a drop location because of that.

My load to Clarksville has been reschuled 2 days later so they asked me to come to Sapulpa. Icy roads now, I think I will just finish the load to Clarksville. Nice lazy pace is nice for a change.

Refusing a rental? That's not a shocking decision. My truck is both my workplace and my home on the road. It's lived in deeply.

My 900 dollar week was a 3200 mile week with 314 expenses. Sadly, I'm still in the hole on my maintenance account. It seems like I've lived there out of the gate.
