    Howdy
After so many years on the road. I often dream of being able to drive part year and take it easy the rest.
Besides farm work what other truck gigs are seasonal ?
    Thx

Cement mixers. If you're at the bottom of the seniority board you"ll usually have winters off.
Good pay when you're working too.

Don't know about other states, but Penndot hires seasonal plow drivers during the winter months.

Sign up with a temp service that hires cdl drivers. Work when you want to and change companies as often as you want and your resume won't show your a job hopper because you work and are paid by the temp agency, not the trucking companies they put you with.

    Hey Chinatown, how you ding?

Do you know anything about hauling fruit?

I've come across a company in central California that says they're willing to train CDL so long as you stay with them for the season (July through October).

    Does that sound legit?

    Chinatown Thanks this.

Sounds like that tomato outfit in Los Banos; yes it's the real deal.
I think it's Morning Star Trucking.
