I thought I've heard one idling one time, but I didn't have time to stick around and find out.

Nothing like a 6NZ with 7" straights though.

New drivers and very experienced drivers can expect to have different job expectations at their respective different points in a given career.

Lot's of these demands I'm reading in this thread are not really practical from a company driver perspective, regardless of experience, but, it's okay to have fantasies.

For most situations, yes. Most of us can demand more because we are more experienced. Although I have only run 5 states the south for the most part of my career, I've got around 37 years out here, in one capacity or another. I generally dont bang up our stuff or others stuff. I help keep insurance premiums low. I'm generally not a PITA to work with & I understand this is a job & we gotta do what we gotta do. Therefore, I am more hireable by most companies than most beginner/inexperienced drivers. I can demand a little more because it doesnt cost more to employ me. Less accidents to deal with, less insurance costs, I dont need babysitting & as in the last thing in my previous post, I try to treat people like they treat me. A good employer = a good employee... in my situation.

I can afford to be picky because the best companies are looking for experienced, low cost drivers like myself. They are willing to give more, to get more.

I saw a similar truck Cb interview with a 400 big cam that was way meaner. Like 750 to the wheels and very reliable.

    x1Heavy and Zeviander Thank this.

I don't know what you have been smoking. Maybe there is this leak you havent found yet.

    TEASE..... just kidding with you.

I aint heard or seen a 400 cummins able to get anything done. Much less 750 to the wheels. If they can do that today? Then eh that's great. Coulda used that back then.

It's possible to get those old beasts up to 1000hp. Talk to the Cummins Big cam crew.
