I know a guy who does local truck driving and he said he has a friend at the dot and gets tipped off to when and where the inspections are and goes around them. Also I have read some guys drive at night and avoid the interstates, even though avoiding interstates isn’t always possible. Besides what I have put here inside information/driving at night etc are there any methods to avoiding inspections.

Around here they run lots of portables so her randomly screwed...over by foristel mo. ( I just heard 2000 ff yous in my head lol )any way between the scale guys n the local fuzz they had family in the country on both sides so if a truck went through late or whatever they just dropped a dime.if your worried that much about the quality of the equipment I'd change jobs

Personally I've always ran legal, so I don't mind rolling through one. And as every company I've worked for has inspection bonuses, I never minded even getting pulled around back.

"Word of Wisdom"....Do your best to Run Legal these days. I've seen citation reports given to drivers and Companies on Logs, fines up to $11 thousand dols. to the company and $3 thousand for the driver on the same Violation. Then on Overweight Violations, it's a Set amount on the Violation plus per hundred pounds Increases that could just catapult into a $5 thousand dols fine. *Plus the company has to send another Truck to pick up the "overage". Just saying..

In over five years of driving, i have had one level 3 inspection and that is it. I personally think all the hype over DOT inspections is overrated lunch counter talk. Just keep your #### legal and looking nice and you’ll be fine.

We got away with it in the 80, 90s, even 2010. Multiple "actions" taken to avoid "Chicken Coups". We were suscessful then. Today you as driver can "Kill" your carreer in a blink of an eye. Have you noticed the increase on accidents were Truck drivers has "Taken" a life and sometimes whole families on the same accident?? and some even their Own. It is Not worth it. Every day at sunrise "ask" that your day goes smooth, behave like it is your family inside those vehicles by your side when "rolling" on our roads. At the end of your day "thank" yourself and those drivers that made it possible for you to be on that "cozy truck stop" resting, to start the "battle" the next morning "One more Time"
Happy Trails..!! Follow the Rules...WIN THE GAME.
