Distance and time don't matter anymore. Anyone else seen this?

It's in the regs that true eld are supposed to be triggered at 5mph. If a company has the older aobrd systems they don't have to update to a true eld for 2 years after the mandate... at least that's the way I read it

I've just heard rumors. Haven't been able to make it to the meetings yet because they keep running me out of time on tight live loads. I'm sure this won't happen when I'm on the drive line looking for MTs. /s

I’ve already seen a truck doing this once at a meat plant a few weeks ago. You had to check in, do a u turn inside, and go to the staging lot. This guy did this whole thing at idle speed. I was furious and so were all the people behind me trying to leave work there and go home.

The ELD I have triggers at 5 mph as well as it is ELD compliant and connected to the ECM. Part of the ELD mandate is that it standardizes all the parameters, where before, the fleet could set their own. It is not Schneider just blowing smoke. They’re choosing to stop AOBRD and go fully ELD before the final deadline of December 2019 when, if you fall under the mandate, you will have to as well.
